Job Description

​

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be an integral part of our finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions to our carriers, employees, and vendors. Your attention to detail and proficiency in technical accounting software will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

What to Expect

​

• Audit and process invoices for payment

• Verify and confirm documents

• You will be the point of contact for selected accounts

• Respond to emails about payment questions and inquiries

• Able to handle 10 to 30 calls two or three times a week

• Reconcile customer statements and resolve discrepancies

• Analyze financial data

• Assist in payroll management tasks as needed

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Wave, etc., for recording transactions

• Support benefits administration processes related to accounts payable as needed

• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures as needed

• ​Other duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

​

• High school diploma or GED

• At least an associate degree in business, accounting, or finance

• At least two years of accounts payable or billing experience

• Knowledge of QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Wave, or similar accounting software

• Understanding of technical accounting principles

• Detailed Oriented 

• Problem Solver

• Ability to Multitask

• Sense of urgency to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
